Jim has been a professional in real estate since 1975
having been sales agent, sales manager, sales trainer, associate broker, principal broker and owner of his own firm.
He is Associate Broker and Partner/Owner of the multi-office firm of ERA Brokers
Consolidated in Southern Utah and Mesquite, NV.

To qualify to serve you best, he has earned the following designations:
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM),
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI),
Graduate of REALTORS® Institute (GRI) Real Estate Cyber Specialist (RECS), Resort & Second-
Home Specialist (SRES)).
Jim is an ERA National Top Producer.
His performance as a high-producing salesman has twice earned him recognition as a recipient of Lifetime
Membership in the Million Dollar Club. Jim was awarded the 1998 Utah Certified Residential
Specialist Agent of the year.
Jim is President and CEO of Real Estate Specialists,a prominent training and
education business. In addition to being an active selling broker, Jim has trained thousands of
REALTORS®, been a GRI Instructor, and has been awarded the Distinguished Real Estate Instructor
(DREI) designation by the National Real Estate Educators Association. He is a Certified Instructor
and Independent Agent for TOP PRODUCER® SYSTEMS. He has developed several state-approved courses
dealing with critical current issues, including "Agency," "Ethics," Risk Management,"
"Using Executive Associates and Personal Assistants," "How to Keep a Buyer," "Basic Real Estate Investing,"
"Managing your High Tech Brokerage," and "Using Technology to Dominate Your Market."

He is a frequent speaker at National and State conventions, seminars and workshops
as trainer, business sales coach and leader consultant.
As an affiliate member of REALTYU, a national consortium of real estate educators,
Jim provides courses for the ABR and ABRM designations through REBAC,
Real Estate Buyer Agent Council, of the National Association of REALTORS®, and
numerous other specialty courses.
Jim writes a weekly real estate column for the Daily Spectrum. He has produced and delivered
the Real Estate Minute, a local radio program.

He was the 1997 Utah Chapter President for the Real Estate Educator's Association and the 1997
President of the Utah Certified Residential Specialists Chapter, has served on two committees
for the National Residential Sales Council.

Jim believes in the principle of service to others. He has held many positions in his church.
Service to community includes: Rotary District 5420 Governor for year 2000-2001;
he has been President of St. George Rotary Club, Executive Director (six years) and chair of
committees (four years) of Dixie Rotary Bowl, St. George City Industrial Development Board four
years, Washington County Fair Board Director and Washington County School Foundation. In addition
to scouting service, Jim has been Little League coach of basketball, baseball and soccer.

Jim enjoys computers, guitar and singing, snow skiing, tennis, golf, running, and other sports including camping, hunting, and fishing. But
most of all, he loves his college bride, Margaret, and family of three married children and
eight grandchildren.
